2013/14 TriNSW Club Championships - Saturday 5th April @ Forster
Entries have opened for the TriNSW Club Championships which are being held on Saturday 5 April.
This iconic end of season race will again be held at Forster Main Beach and this year TriNSW have joined forces with Forster Surf Life Saving Club to run a fun, non-competitive aquathon (run/swim/run) for juniors.
The aquathon will be on the beach (no shoes!), with the swim in the sea pool at the southern end of the beach.
Distances will be based on the TA participation policy and there will be 3 age groups: 7-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-14 years.
The profit from the entry fees for the junior races will all go to the surf club.
Children do not need to be members of a club or TA so for those of you with kids, encourage them to have a go in the morning before you tackle the 1km swim, 30km bike and 8 km run at lunch time.
To enter either the main race or the junior aquathlon go to https://endurancecui.active.com/event-reg/select-race?e=5893154.
If you're going to be up in Forster supporting and want to earn the club another point by volunteering during the race, head to https://endurancecui.active.com/event-reg/select-race?e=5933853 to register.
Make sure you select to join the Hornsby Tri Club team when registering (let me know if you're going to register as a volunteer so we can create the team).
If you're keen to share accommodation with other HTC members, contact Adrian soon so we can arrange it all.
For those who haven't been before, it's a great race in a great location with a great presentation party following the race on Saturday night.
Contact Adrian with any queries about the race or the weekend.
2014/15 HTC and TA/TriNSW membership will soon be available. Keep an eye out for details.
HTC membership gives you unlimited access to our club-run aquathlons, training triathlons and other club sessions. TA membership gives you a host of benefits including cheaper entry to every race in Australia, priority entry to a number of events that regularly sell out and often overlooked but very valuable public liability and personal injury insurance which covers you while you are training (which can include things like cycling or running to work) as well as racing.
Check out the weekly training schedule and the forum for details of sessions club members are doing.
