Bunnings BBQ roster 25th April 12-6pm

Postby Lisa » Wed Apr 08, 2009 2:56 pm

We will need a few volunteers to cook and sell sausage sandwiches at Bunnings.
Being Anzac day, Bunnings is opening later and the BBQ can be operated between 12-6pm.
If you can help out even for an hour or two that would be wonderful.
Shift times
11:30-1:30pm
1:30-3:00pm
3:00-4:30pm
4:30-6:00pm
We will need 5 people on the first shift to set the BBQ up and fire it up for the first customers of the day. Then 4 in each of the shifts until closing time.
There will be a few people with Bunnings BBQ experience on hand, it would be good to see some of our new members helping out too. If you can spare some time to help out then please leave a post.
No experience necessary just bring your best smile ;-)

Hi Michael,
We are a bit light for afternoon volunteers. So far we have the following shifts :-

Shift 1 - 11:30-1:30pm
Steve
Gracinda
Emiel
Adrian

Shift 2 - 1:30-3:00pm
Michael

Shift 3 - 3:00-4:30pm
available

Shift 4 - 4:30-6:00pm
available

We only have a week to get ourselves organised !!

Hopefully, we can get a few more volunteers to help out and share the load across the day. This really is the club's biggest opportunity for fund raising this year. If we can all help by doing a couple of hours it really does help share the load, making it much easier and more fun all around. :D

Any help you can offer will be greatfully accepted.

Cheers
Steve :D

Sorry for the late response!

I can't do shift 4 either, but could do any of the others. They all look pretty balanced now, so should I help on shift 1, which may be the busiest over lunch?

Let me know if you prefer me on 2 or 3.

Cheers

Hi Wally,

The girls & I can be flexible. Would you like to do 2 & we'll do 4?
If 3 does their job well, we'll be all out of everything anyway!!!!

Cheers Lisa

Thank you to everyone that contributed to making yesterdays BBQ another sucess.

We have such great members at Hornsby Tri Club !! Everyone is so willing to help out when we need it that it makes the job of organising very simple. My thanks go out to you all. :D :D

Yeah I'll second that. Thanks to everyone, well done.

After preliminary calculations (counting money on Lisa and Nev's dinner table last night) it looks like the profit for the afternoon will be around $680-700.

A terrific result considering we had 3 hours less than usual.

Well done all! Especially Steve for putting it all together at short notice.

You are welcome. The very least I could do as I have been away from the club hibernating....

Emiel was excellent with the tongs, I now know why one of Australia's icon is a BBQ.

When is the second BBQ to be held, that way I can have it in my diary as a heads up. I would like to share a "BBQ list items" for future BBQ's sessions...yes I am painful, its one of my idiosyncracies, I am considering therapy for it

Hi Gracinda,
Thanks for your help last weekend.

We were not able to get another booking for the BBQ at Bunnings until mid January 2010.

I will confirm the actual date closer to the time.

Cheers
