Friday Night Biathlon Series 2007/2008 - Event 7 - February 1st
Another good field of 14 biathlon competitors (and 2 more who just did the swim) turned out for round 7. Conditions suited lots of competitors as there were numerous PBs set. Newcomers blitzed the field to take the swimming honours. Jennifer Baee (7:21) and Marion Pyrlik (7:35) were the two fastest overall. Fastest of the boys was James Kennedy (7:43) and Jeff Featherston (7:57). Run split honours went to Steve (14:25) and Martin (14:48). Fastest of the girls was Marion (17:02) and Alison (17:18).

Series Results: 12 of the 14 competitors this week were HTC members and therefore eligible for points and handicaps. Emma raced for the first time so got 5 points. 10 of the remaining 11 beat their handicap by at least 1% with Martin missing out by just seconds. By virtue of Sarah R missing the race Tony is now the clear leader, with a 33 point lead over Nev who has made a big surge to now be second by 1 point over Sarah. Fourth to sixth are Steve H (88), Andrew J (87) and Carolyn (86).
