| Another good field of 14 (7 guys, 7 girls) showed up on a lovely Friday evening for race 2 of the summer.
We had 3 first timers who all went of scratch.
It later come out that one of them, Sarah Greenwood, had come 2nd outright at the Sri Chinmoy Classic a few weeks earlier, which was no surprise given she smashed everyone in the pool with a 7:18.
She followed that up with a good 17:46 run despite running several hundred metres extra. She of course took out the female win with a total of 25:04.
In the mens it was the usual story of Adrian and Steve H leading the swim times and then Steve steamrolling everyone on the run.
Series Results: 9 of the 14 competitors this week had a handicap from round 1 and all beat it.
Cath Hume was over 22% better so got the 30 points, Dan, Tony and Steve all beat their handicaps by around 6%, and that is the early top 4 in the points score.
Andrew J and Adrian raced for the first time this season so got 5 points and an initial handicap.
Remember, no points or handicaps for non-members.
