The kids' race had two debutants and a second-timer, with Lachlan Basten bringing the experience. The first three boys were out of the pool just 18 seconds apart which meant it was all down to the transition and run. First-timer Cooper was first home in 11:32 ahead of second-timer Jake Crisafulli in 11:56. Well done to all four boys!

In the main race, John Boakes (last wave) and Falko (first wave) recorded the only sub-8 minute swims and Sam and Andrew J recorded the only runs splits in the 15s. Sam's slight edge in both the swim and run legs saw him beat Andrew home for the win by 16 seconds with John a further minute back rounding out the podium. Of the 4 ladies racing, Allison had the slowest swim in the field but followed it up with the 5th fastest run split overall to be the first female home by almost 2 minutes over Lisa.

Well done to first-timers Nick and Katie Harris who battled through but had enough fun to PROMISE they would be back. ;)

Series Results: After 2 rounds, John Boakes and Carolyn share the lead with 50 points each. Gavin is third with 44 points with Andrew J 3 points further back. Second of the ladies is Lisa on 20 closely followed by Michelle on 19.
