Friday Night Aquathlon Series 2009/2010 - Race 1 - October 16th
A good turnout for the first aquathlon of the summer series. We had 14 starters in the main race and 6 for the kids' aquathlon.

First up were the kids. A good group of regulars were back for another season. Well done to all the kids, especially Hannah J who was first home on the back of a cracker 3:23 swim time.

In the main game it was no contest for first place with Jarrod running (& swimming) away with the race. Consistency and the second fastest run split saw Andrew J comfortably home in second outright with Dane taking third by just 3 seconds from John Boakes who was the only other swimmer (after Jarrod) under 8 minutes.

Well done to Hannah H who was the first female home by a little over 30 seconds, in the process recording the overall third best run split.

Well done to everyone especially first-timers Grant, Chris and Ann and also to all the youngsters who had a go. Thanks to all the volunteers for helping out with refreshments, timing, and keeping everyone safe out on the run course. Here are the full results.
