Perfect conditions for Round 9 of the Friday Night Aquathlon Series and another good field including 5 first timers.
Some great times with 7 swimmers under 8 minutes and another sub-22 minute finish for Jarrod.
All 4 waves provided good racing with runners stalking each other through the streets of Hornsby.
Swimmers were being run down, others were just holding on, but most importantly everyone had a good time and a good hitout.
Series Points: We had 14 members amongst our 26 competitors, all with handicaps to improve upon.
The two big improvers - both by over 4% - were Sam C who took the max 30 points and Ben B who took the 28.
Others to beat their handicap were Laurel, Sarah C, Nev and Elicia.
With nine rounds now completed the Series Standings start to get interesting.
The series is decided by each members best eight rounds so some members are now 'dropping' points from previous rounds.
With Tony volunteering this round, Nev (156) has taken the lead by 2 points.
Adrian (136) is the first to suffer from having to drop a round and drops two spots to fifth with Cath (140) and Wally (137) moving into 3rd and 4th respecively.
Elicia (132) leads Lisa by just one point for 6th overall and 2nd in the female race with Michael, Ben B and Andrew S round out the top 10.
